February 22nd Indigo Dyed Shawls
Get ready for a creative and colorful evening! Join me at Trade Oak Cliff on February 22nd as we dive into the magic of Indigo and Shibori—the Japanese art of “tie-dye.” You’ll learn the basics of working with indigo dye and mastering fun, one-of-a-kind Shibori patterns.
We’ll start with practice swatches to perfect your technique before moving on to the main event: dyeing a gorgeous organic cotton shawl. Along the way, you’ll pick up fun indigo facts and create a piece you’ll be proud to show off.
Bonus: Bring 1–2 natural fiber items (cotton, silk, hemp, or linen) from home to give them new life in the dye vat—perfect for upcycling and revamping old favorites!
Location: Trade Oak Cliff, 1300 S. Polk St. #246
Time: 2-4 PM
BYOB: Bring your favorite drink to sip while we create!
All supplies are included, so come ready to have fun, get hands-on, and leave with something truly unique!
