May 3rd Indigo Workshop at Elmwood Farms
Indigo & Shibori Dye Workshop
Join me for an evening of creativity and color at Trade Oak Cliff! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the magic of indigo dyeing and Shibori, the traditional Japanese art of resist dyeing.
You’ll start by practicing various folding and binding techniques on swatches before moving on to the main event: dyeing a beautiful organic cotton shawl. Along the way, you’ll learn fascinating facts about indigo, its history, and how to achieve stunning, one-of-a-kind patterns.
Bonus: Bring 1–2 natural fiber items (cotton, silk, hemp, or linen) from home to give them a fresh, new look in the dye vat—perfect for upcycling and revamping old favorites!
📍 Location: Trade Oak Cliff, 1300 S. Polk St. #246
📅 Date: May 9th
⏰ Time: 6:30–8:30 PM
🍷 BYOB: Feel free to bring your favorite drink to sip while you create!
All supplies are included—just bring yourself, your creativity, and get ready for a fun, hands-on experience. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece that you’ll be proud to wear or display!
